CHPHC Supports Local and National Charities
PARROTHEADS, LEND ME YOUR CANS! AND KEEP SAVING THEM
Charlotte Harbor Parrothead Club has received a thank you letter from Cathy Negrycz, of the Peace River Wildlife Center acknowledging our monetary and material donations for the Center in memory of Jan Brandt.
The Peace River Wildlife Center in Punta Gorda is in danger of closing and they sell aluminum cans for revenue. We will also name this project "CANS for JAN", in honor of Jan Brandt, who so dearly loved the work that the center does. So when, you take the pop top off, keep the can and bring 'em both to our meetings. Please place them in bags on the deck in the back of Coral Rock- a volunteer from the Wildlife Center will pick them up.

Each year the Charlotte Harbor Parrot Head Club chooses several charities to support. Our first partnership was with the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition. The Club's volunteers donated food, clothing and money to the CCHC. During our first Birthday the Club raised $3915.00 for the Homeless Coalition.
"Our Second Trip around the Sun," our second birthday party, raised $5,000.00 for the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition. During the Sunday "Songwriters Festival hosted by James "Sunny Jim" White, we raised nearly $1,500.00 for the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches.
