Eligibility Criteria - Parrot Points
In addition to using Parrot Points to assess eligibility to obtain concert tickets (see second part of document) Parrot Points will also be used to determine a member’s cost to attend certain events throughout the year. The more points accumulated the less it will cost to attend some functions, including but not limited to: the club’s BD Party and the Holiday Party. We will have a sliding scale on which to base the cost per person, dependent upon volunteer activity throughout the year. We will also hold a “Thank You!” party for volunteers with a minimum number of points needed to attend.
There are many different ways in which a member can participate in club activities. For example, a member can acquire points for working a shift at the Mini-Mart or Membership Table, or by volunteering to do the beach and river clean ups or organizing a charity event. Obviously, the more active a member, the more points (s)he will accumulate. Below is a list of how points can be earned and are distributed:
Parrot Points Accumulation System:
· Serve on the Club Board of Directors – 25 points
· Serve as a Committee Chair – 13 points
· Organize a major (over $1K) fundraiser – 10 points
· Organize a minor fundraiser (less than $1K) – 8 points
· Serve on a committee – 5 points
· Collect/deliver supplies to our charities - 4 points
· Work during club socials (Mini-mart, Membership, selling raffle tickets, etc.) – 4 points
· Participate in a charitable, community service or environmental function – 3 points
· Work during club fundraiser/party (Mini-mart, Registration, Silent Auction, etc.) – 3 points
· Bring new opportunities to the club (sponsors, venues, etc.) – 3 points
· Contribute a newsletter/magazine article – 3 points
· Create a photo slideshow for an event or meeting – 3 points
· Serve as host for a monthly meeting – 3 points
· Design something for CHPHC (business cards, badges, tees, etc.) – 2 points
· Donate items to a club fundraiser (silent auction, bake sale, etc.) – 2 points
· Donate non-perishable food item – 1 point
· Donate pop-tops – 1 point
· Donate “item of the month” at a meeting – 1 point
· Donate medicine bottles for the animal shelter – 1 point
· Donate raffle item – 1 point
· Recruit a new member (they must present your signed business card) – 1 point
· Attend a club business meeting – 1 point
The Board of Directors may assign points for other activities as deemed appropriate. Committee Chairs include but are not limited to Relay for Life, Birthday Party, Holiday Party, Environmental Team, Media Relations, Communications Director (weekly e-mail newsletter), Store Manager, and Navy leader. Board Members or Committee Chairs who also work at the meetings/events will be given the points associated with that job (i.e. Store Manager works the store, treasurer works the membership table, etc). At our monthly social meetings members may acquire one point per donation for food, pop-tops, item of the month, empty prescription bottles and for donating raffle prizes, and those are in addition to any points earned for working at the mini-mart, membership table or for selling raffle tickets.
There will be a sign-up sheet at each club function and/or each donation station for members who participate in one of the activities on the list above. Each individual club member is responsible for signing the register provided at club events in order to receive points for that activity. This is the honor system and we trust that you will only sign a sheet for which you made a donation. Parrot Points are a “per person” not “per couple” designation so you must include both names if you both donated an item or participated in a charity event, etc. We will track points after each meeting or event, and each member will be provided a Parrot Points Tracking Card for their own recordkeeping, but the official Parrot Points spreadsheet will be the ruling document. Concert Ticket Eligibility
Parrot Heads in
The Charlotte Harbor Parrot Head Club became eligible for these club tickets as we entered our second year of operation. Because our club will be sharing the 300 tickets per concert with other
In dealing with these concert tickets, the Board of Directors will designate one person to act as Ticket Coordinator. PHiP is adamant that no other member of the club is allowed to contact anyone in PHIP or HK Management regarding tickets.
The Parrot Points system is designed to reward the most active members for a consistent level of activity and award tickets to the most deserving members within the Charlotte Harbor Parrot Head Club first.
Please remember first and foremost:
Ø Clubs are not guaranteed tickets
Ø If concert tickets become available for a show for which our club is eligible to receive tickets, there are only 300 tickets to be distributed among all geographically eligible clubs per venue; depending on where the concert is held will determine whether our club is eligible
Ø Club ticket share is roughly based on the number of club members reported to Parrot Heads in
Ø Club tickets are a privilege
Ø Club tickets are to be earned by members
Ø The CHPHC is not a ticket broker
