Designed to provide much needed relief to families of mentally and physically disabled children and adults, Time Out Respite Car, Inc. offers the services of trained caregivers to residents of Charlotte County Florida.
Respite Care workers assume the responsibility of staying in the home with the disabled individual in order to allow the families to:
Attend to needs outside the home
Relieve stress
Keep medical/dental appointments
Accomplish personal tasks
Recuperate from illness
Take vacations

Time Out Respite Care is available to families of children and adults with various handicapping conditions. The Time Out program recognizes the commitment and chalenges of families in such situations, and strives to temporarily alleviate the confinement and stress related to continuous care.
Every caregiver associated with Time Out Respite Care is subjected to an extensive background investigation and required to complete a comprehensive training program, which includes courses in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) , behavior management, communication skills, and handling of the medically complex.
In addition, respite workers must possess the ultimate quality.....caring.

Respite workers provide services in the family home, in one of our licensed caregiver homes or in our spacious respite car facility in Charlotte Harbor. It is up to the families to choose a location.
The program is available to families 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Preferred hours are from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., but Time Out Respite Care will accommodate the special needs of individual families.

"Fighting Childhood Hunger One Backpack at a Time"

Every week, volunteers meet to prepare and fill the backpacks for distribution to the elementary schools.  Volunteers form an assembly line to fill each child’s backpack and group them according to school. Weekly, backpacks are delivered to the individual schools and later distributed by volunteers, students and teachers  to smiling and thankful children.
