Charlotte Harbor Parrot Head Club is a (501 (c)3 Charitable Organization. Our events, meetings and activities are all about having fun while supporting local Charlotte County charities. Each month, we feature a local charity to support. Members donate food, water and supplies at our monthly meetings to assist the featured charity. Last year, we raised and donated $52,698 to local charities plus thousands of products, food, supplies, toys, etc. for numerous charities. Our club also had over 10,000 hours of volunteer work for local projects. We sincerely do “Party with a Purpose”. Since our founding in 2007, we have donated over $195,000 to local charities. We also participate in and support local environmental projects. Each year, we sponsor and run the Peace River Clean-up, which saw our members volunteering hundreds of man-hours yearly. We participate in more events, such as beach clean-up, and Adopt-A-Pond clean-up. In the last few years we have donated over $15,000 for the “Back Pack Kidz”project” Last year, we also donated $4,000 to “Do the Right Thing of Charlotte County”and $4000 to the Back Pack Kidz project, directly from the proceeds raised for the Birthday Party.
In 2017, we are turning even more focus to our charities. This year, our Feature Organizations for our Birthday Party Extravaganza (our 10th) will be: Back Pack Kidz and Time Out Respite Care. During the summer, we will have a variety of events to raise additional funds for our charities. All proceeds from the Birthday Party and the specific events during the summer will go directly to these two charities. We will continue to feature other charities each month for our Monthly Socials.
We want to encourage our members, their friends and guests to help us make this year our biggest and most successful year in fundraising. Every dollar, item and hour counts.
