Supporting Our Community

Charlotte Harbor Parrot Head Club is a  (501 (c)3 Charitable Organization.  Our events, meetings and activities are all about having fun while supporting local Charlotte County charities.  Each month, we feature a local charity to support.  Members donate food, water and supplies at our monthly meetings to assist the featured charity.  Last year, we raised and donated $52,698 to local charities plus thousands of products, food, supplies, toys, etc. for numerous charities.  Our club also had over 10,000 hours of volunteer work for local projects.  We sincerely do “Party with a Purpose”.  Since our founding in 2007, we have donated over $195,000 to local charities. We also participate in and support local environmental projects. Each year, we sponsor and run the Peace River Clean-up, which saw our members volunteering hundreds of man-hours yearly. We participate in more events, such as beach clean-up, and Adopt-A-Pond clean-up. In the last few years we have donated over $15,000 for the “Back Pack Kidz”project” Last year, we also donated $4,000 to “Do the Right Thing of Charlotte County”and $4000 to the Back Pack Kidz project, directly from the proceeds raised for the Birthday Party.

In 2017, we are turning even more focus to our charities.  This year, our Feature Organizations for our Birthday Party Extravaganza (our 10th) will be:  Back Pack Kidz and Time Out Respite Care.  During the summer, we will have a variety of events to raise additional funds for our charities.  All proceeds from the Birthday Party and the specific events during the summer will go directly to these two charities.  We will continue to feature other charities each month for our Monthly Socials.

We want to encourage our members, their friends and guests to help us make this year our biggest and most successful year in fundraising.  Every dollar, item and hour counts.

To learn more about our Charities, click the links to the right or go directly to the website for each of the charities, as they are noted.

If you have any questions, feedback or wish to volunteer, contact one of the Board of Directors.   Thank you.  Without you, we would not be able to help so many people in our area.

Community Opportunities

We "Party With a Purpose". Members generously volunteer time, products and funds to our monthly charities.  Below are current opportunities to support our community and make a difference.
This is one of our most important environmental project. If you are interested in volunteering for this program, please email: volunteer@chphc.com
We are also looking for a member who would be interested in heading this project. Also let us know if you are interested.
Our June Charity of the Month is a short term care house for the developmentally disabled. In addition to being one of our monthly charities, we are also featuring them for our 10th Birthday Party Sep 1-3, 2017. The work they do is a critical need for our community. You can learn more about what they do at: http://timeoutrespitecare.org/.
Participation in our Birthday Party and our Summer Events will help them to provide care for many people.
Also a feature charity for our Birthday Party this year. The proceeds from the party and the special events leading up to the party this summer will help Back Pack Kidz and Respite Care. By purchasing tickets to our Visani Night and our Stone Crabs night plus any raffle tickets or auction tickets for the party will go directly to these charities. You can also help by volunteering for the various committees working on the Birthday Party.
This will be our 2nd year helping at the Charlotte County Airshow. Those who helped last year loved it and it was a huge success for the club. To get more details, contact Greg Vogle at: gvogle@chphc.com

Supporting our Club

Charlotte Harbor Parrot Head Club, Inc. is a 501 (c)3 Charitable Organization. The success of our club is dependent on the volunteer efforts of our members.  All functions within the club are entirely voluntary.  Events such as the yearly Birthday Celebration are a huge part of our "Community Support" efforts.  For each event, we select local charities to provide our support.  For example, proceeds from the Birthday Celebration will go to Back Pack Kidz and Time Out Respite Care.
Both of these organizations are important to our community and important to our club.  Your support in helping with the events is greatly appreciated, not only by the community, but by the club itself. If you would like to help but not sure how, feel free to contact Teresa Bird at: tbird@chphc,com

Our club store is a crucial part of our club. We currently have a need for volunteers to help with the store at our monthly socials. If interested, please contact Patti Byrski: pbyrski@chphc.com
