Phins Up and Flags Up! Join Us for the SWFL Honor Flight Mission XXIV Homecoming
Parrot Heads, it’s time to trade the flip-flops for some Red, White, and Blue!
One of our favorite ways to "Party with a Purpose" is coming up on Tuesday, April 28th. Our local heroes are returning from their trip to Washington D.C., and it is our job to make sure they get the loudest, proudest welcome home that Charlotte County can offer!
Mission XXIV is bringing 90 Southwest Florida veterans—from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and other eras—back to the Punta Gorda Airport. Let’s show them exactly how much our community appreciates their service.
The Details:
When: Tuesday, April 28, 2026
Where: Punta Gorda Airport (PGD)
Flight Arrival: 9:00 PM (But the party starts way before that!)
What to Wear: Your finest Red, White, and Blue (feel free to mix in some tropical flair or your favorite CHPHC gear!)
Why You Should Arrive Early
The flight lands at 9:00 PM, but the atmosphere at the airport starts building much earlier. There will be live music, food trucks, and plenty of camaraderie. It’s a giant celebration of our Nation’s "Greatest Treasures," and you won't want to miss a minute of the pre-arrival excitement.
Important Logistics:
Carpooling: In true Parrot Head fashion, we encourage everyone to carpool! It saves space and is way more fun.
Parking: Please be sure to follow the specific parking directions provided by the PGD staff once you arrive.
The Mission: Let’s fill the terminal with cheering faces to welcome these 90 veterans home from their Allegiant chartered flight from IAD.
Whether you’ve been to a homecoming before or this is your first time, be ready for "the time of your life." There is nothing quite like seeing the faces of these veterans as they walk through a sea of grateful neighbors.
See you at the airport—Phins up!
