HEY PARROT HEADS! 

WHAT TIME IS IT? 

IT'S TIME FOR A POKER RUN (AND PUB CRAWL)!

WHEN? Saturday, March 29   1pm to 5pm (Registration starts at Noon)

WHERE? Starting and ending at TT's at the Sheraton

Parking can be a challenge so Grooving thru Gorda Golf Carts will be transporting people from the convention center parking lot. Tipping encouraged. 

WHY? Fundraiser for Charlotte High School's "Project Graduation"

WHO? Club members, their friends, family, neighbors. (MUST BE 21 TO PLAY)

THE NITTY: Keep your Harleys in the garage for this one, it's a walking Pub Crawl between four downtown bars. TT's, The Perch at the Wyvern, Dean's and Celtic Ray!

Registration is $10 and begins at noon at TT's. The participants will be split into four groups and at about 1 o'clock each group will head for one of the venues. You'll have about 35-45 minutes to grab a drink and hang out, then the group will go to the next bar (someone will be on hand to tell you where to go).

You do not have to purchase a drink to participate. In addition, each bar will be offering a free shot of their own creation, a "Boat Drink" if you will. You'll have the opportunity to vote on your favorite and the winning bar will be awarded a plaque. Also, the Perch and Dean's will have a small, ready to serve menu for anyone who wishes to eat. Your food will be served quickly so you can keep up with your group. 

THE GRITTY: This is also a Poker Run. At registration you will get your first card. At each stop there will be a representative of the club who will deal you another playing card. After hitting the four venues you'll end up back at TT's where you will turn in your poker hand. High hand wins a $100 VISA gift card. You'll also have the opportunity to buy extra cards to make a better hand.

Don't know poker? No problem, our volunteers will score your best five cards to make a high hand. Grooving thru Gorda golf carts will be running along the route to give you a lift to your next stop if you choose, for a small gratuity. 

The last time we did this we had well over 100 participants and it was a real highlight of our social calendar. The bars are excited to have us and they're busy coming up with the free shots to win the title of Best Boat Drink. They'll be expecting us with plenty of staff to get us served quickly.
